Care in an Everest inpatient rehabilitation hospital is designed to help when you have been impaired by an injury or illness and your physician determines that you are medically stable and physically able to begin a comprehensive rehabilitation program consisting of at least three hours of therapy a day, five days a week.

Under Everest care, you will receive daily physician oversight, more than two types of therapy and 24-hour nursing care. We are committed to providing compassionate care, giving you the dignity and respect you need on your journey to recovery.

You might be referred to one of our Everest Rehabilitation hospitals because your physician believes you could benefit from specialized intense rehabilitation rather than receiving a lower level of care, such as in a skilled nursing facility. All Everest therapy programs are customized for your unique abilities, tolerance for therapy and desired outcome.

We provide around-the-clock nursing care to patients overcoming a variety of debilitating illnesses and injuries

One-on-one Patient Therapy 3-5 hours a day, 5- 7 days a week. Our enormous level of care in our acute physical rehabilitation hospital setting cannot be provided at other levels of care such as skilled nursing facilities or nursing homes.

All 3 patient hallways are bright and airy with tall ceilings and continuous clearstory windows that allow the flood of natural daylight to shine through

Every patient suite has a 55inch TV, lighted electric mirrors at all sinks, and the medical equipment plug-ins are all on the side walls - out-of-sight to patients and visitors so that it feels more like a home or even a hotel, rather than an intimidating, uncomfortable, cold “hospital room.” All patient suites also include their own private bathroom.

Our Everest team offers customized care and is compassionate through every step. They will hear you, and genuinely want to know about you, how you got there, and how are you feeling. Patients here have a one-on-one connection with their therapist, enabling patients to reach their recovery goals faster.

A real car (Smart Car) is included in our therapy gyms so that patients can practice getting in and out of a real vehicle.

Everest offers an “Assisted Daily Living” feature which is a fully furnished apartment where the patient can stay 1 or 2 nights before leaving Everest and practice handling daily tasks associated with everyday living such as using appliances, getting in and out of bed, even baking cookies.

We have a very large mobility courtyard with long sloping ramps and short flights of steps for patients to practice various walking elevations and surfaces. Patients can walk on concrete, cut stone, artificial turf and several types of paving stones.

Our Inpatient and Outpatient Therapy gyms are double story with floor to ceiling windows providing natural daylight to the patient while undergoing one on one attentive physical therapy.

Family, friends, and staff can gather with loved ones for a meal in the Summit Café with a connected outdoor patio with additional seating.

Everest Rehabilitation Hospitals are generally the most suitable setting when you require: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-language Pathology. Assessment begins immediately, and service may be provided five days per week. The duration of daily therapy sessions depends upon your tolerance level.

All of our programs at Everest Rehabilitation Hospitals feature care provided by an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team committed to helping you progress to recovery. Our dedicated Everest team will develop a personalized treatment plan designed to help you recover and live as independently as possible.

An Everest clinical liaison will meet with your care coordinator and review your medical history and recent medical treatment. Once you are approved for care in one of our Everest Rehabilitation Hospitals, a mutually agreed upon admission date and time will be established. With years of experience, Everest recognizes the importance of understanding and preparing for individual needs prior to your arrival. The result is a less stressful transition process for both you and your loved ones.

You may be wondering if your insurance will cover inpatient rehab at Everest. Our program accepts most major health insurance carriers, including Medicare. In some cases, payment may be available through Workers’ Compensation. The Everest team of insurance experts will help you confirm your coverage and will work with your insurance provider to find out if it covers inpatient rehabilitation services.
