  • Demonstrate, while in the acute care hospital, both the need for and the potential benefit from acute rehabilitation.
  • Require the active and ongoing intervention of multiple therapy disciplines, one of which must be physical or occupational therapy.
  • Require a rehabilitation program that generally consists of at least three hours of therapy per day, five to seven days per week.
  • Require a coordinated interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation.
  • Require 24 hours per day specialized rehabilitation nursing care and oversight.

Admission Process

A pre-admission screening is required to determine if the individual meets the criteria for admission to our hospitals. Referring physicians are asked to provide us with a patient’s medical records and insurance information. Our clinical liaisons will work closely with you to facilitate admission and a smooth transition to our hospitals.

An Everest clinical liaison will meet with your care coordinator and review your medical history and recent medical treatment. Once you are approved for care in one of our Everest Rehabilitation Hospitals, a mutually agreed upon admission date and time will be established.

With years of experience, Everest recognizes the importance of understanding and preparing for individual needs prior to your arrival. The result is a less stressful transition process for both you and your loved ones.

The staff at Everest Rehabilitation is committed to helping patients accomplish more than they could ever imagine possible.
